I'm not one of those people who like to post pictures of their workouts, standing in the gym, but I've been tempted to lately.
Why? Because I'm now getting serious (again) about my health, and that means getting back into my running habit and building up to a 10K race sometime this year.
That said, my body is reminding me that it's NOT doing this without getting some much needed recovery time. So I'm going to bed earlier than I'm used to.
The result? This strange feeling of...well...clarity.
It's amazing how we forget that our creative energy and focus are limited if we are tired. How much more creative would we be if we stopped trying to burn midnight oil and instead got some shut eye?
I'm not the example to follow in this, but even Scripture makes it clear that sleep is a gift from God (Psalm 124), so I challenge you to look for ways to rest your mind and body.
You might find it reinvigorates your creative time when your eyes are wide open.

I've found that the MOST motivating thing in my creative life isn't the "BIG STARS" I sometimes get to work with...it's the inspiring stories that we're seeing day to day in our 360 membership.
